Food for thought!!!!

I have noticed that there has been an increase in posts about vatious weight loss products, techniques, programmes and conconctions. Whilst it's all appealing some of these products have negative side effects in the long run and some of them don't really work (it's all marketing).
Whilst it is good to lose weight and lose it quickly, It is important to realise that more often than not we spend too much time sitting at work and at home and eating so obviously we are bound to put on weight. It's even worse if you drive. Yes, you might take the products lose weight and go back to your usual eating habits you put on weight again. For me the best way to lose weight is to watch what you eat, eat healthily, eat when you are hungry not eat for the sake of eating and to exercise. Know your body mass calculate your BMI, this will tell you if you are overweight or not. Find out your ideal body weight and mainatin that by good eating habits and exercising.
If you do this yiou won't go wrong and I believe this is a lasting solution

10 simple home remedies for yellow teeth

Here are the top 10 home remedies for yellow teeth.

Bianca Jade Boer's photo.
1. Baking Soda
Baking soda is one of the best ingredients that you can use to get rid of yellow teeth. It will help remove plaque and make your pearly whites shine.
Mix a quarter teaspoon of baking soda with a little toothpaste. Brush your teeth with this gritty mixture and rinse with warm water. Use it once or twice a week.
Alternatively, you can combine baking soda with lemon juice, white vinegar, or hydrogen peroxide.
You can make a whitening mouthwash by mixing one tablespoon of baking soda and one and a half teaspoons of hydrogen peroxide with one cup of cold water. Rinse with the mouthwash two or three times a day.
You can also scrub your teeth gently for at least two minutes with diluted baking soda. Do this twice in the first week, and then every 15 days. It is essential to note that excess use of baking soda can strip your teeth of its natural enamel.

2. Orange Peel
Cleaning your teeth with fresh orange peel on a regular basis will reduce the yellow tinge accumulated on your teeth.
Rub orange peel over your teeth every night before going to sleep. The vitamin C and calcium in the orange peel will combat the microorganisms throughout the night.
Do this for a few weeks and you will notice effective results.
If fresh orange peel is not available, you can use dried orange peel powder.

3. Strawberries
Strawberries contain a good amount of vitamin C, which helps make your teeth whiter.
Grind a few strawberries into a paste. Rub the paste on your teeth gently. If done twice daily for a few weeks, the yellow tinge on your teeth will vanish.
Another option is to mix the pulp of one strawberry with one-half teaspoon of baking soda and spread the mixture onto your teeth and let it sit for a few minutes. Rinse out your mouth and brush your teeth with toothpaste to get rid of any residue.

4. Hydrogen Peroxide
The mild bleaching effect of hydrogen peroxide can help make yellow teeth white again.
Rinse and gargle with a mouthwash that has hydrogen peroxide. Make sure not to swallow the hydrogen peroxide.
You can also make a paste of baking soda with hydrogen peroxide and gently brush your teeth with it. Later, brush your teeth with your regular toothpaste.
Use hydrogen peroxide with extra caution as it can cause irritation of the gums and make your teeth sensitive.

5. Lemon
The bleaching property present in lemons can also help get rid of yellow discoloration. In fact, gargling with lemon juice and scrubbing your teeth with lemon peel is one of the best ways to make your teeth white again.
Mix together a few drops of lemon juice and some salt.
Apply the mixture on the stained teeth and rub the paste vigorously over your teeth and gums. Leave it on for a few minutes and then rinse your mouth thoroughly with water.
Do this twice daily for about two weeks to get rid of tartar and the yellow tinge.

6. Salt
Salt is one of the fundamental dental cleansing agents that has been used for ages. It helps replenish lost mineral content in the teeth and helps revive their white color.
You can use common salt regularly each morning as a tooth powder instead of toothpaste. Another option is to mix common salt with charcoal and brush your teeth with it regularly.
You can also mix common salt with baking soda and gently rub it on your teeth.
Be extra careful using salt as it can cause damage to your gums and tooth enamel if used roughly.

7. Holy Basil
The leaves of holy basil have whitening properties and can also protect your teeth from problems such as pyorrhea, an advanced form of periodontal disease.
Put a few leaves of holy basil in the sun for a few hours. When the leaves are dry, grind them into powder form. Mix the powder with your regular toothpaste and brush your teeth.
Another option is to make a paste of holy basil leaves and mustard oil and then use it to clean your teeth.

8. Apples
Eating a crunchy apple can scrub your teeth like a toothbrush and make them whiter.
Try to eat one or two apples daily to get rid of yellow stain accumulated on your teeth.
Chew it thoroughly so that the acidic nature of the apple and its fiber-rich rough flesh get ample time to work on your teeth.
You can also eat other crunchy food items such as raw carrots, cucumbers and broccoli.

9. Charcoal
Charcoal is one of the best known home remedies for yellow teeth. Charcoal has a powerful crystal-based chemical that whitens teeth.
Mix some charcoal powder with your regular toothpaste and gently brush your teeth.
Do this twice daily to make your teeth sparkling white.
If you don’t have charcoal, you can use the ashes of burnt bread and burnt rosemary to make your teeth whiter.

10. Margosa
You can also use neem or margosa to enjoy white, healthy teeth. Due to the astringent and antiseptic properties, regular use of margosa oil also helps get rid of bad breath and prevents dental cavities.
You can use margosa twigs as a toothbrush to brush your teeth. Chewing margosa branches also helps tackle teeth problems and remove yellow discoloring.
You can also mix margosa oil with your regular toothpaste and then brush your teeth.
Along with these remedies, you need to practice regular oral hygiene to enjoy positive results. If you do not get good results, you can consult a dentist.

How to Make an Avocado Facial Mask

Right now in most countries, it is the season for avocadoes. Did you know that avocadoes are great for your skin. Slathering your face with thick, green paste might not seem like an obvious beauty treatment, but avocado facial masks are renowned for nourishing and revitalizing the skin. Unlike many store-bought facial treatments, avocado masks are free from synthetic ingredients and chemicals, which tends to make them less allergenic and irritating than commercial products. By creating your own avocado facial mask, you can pamper your skin with a simple, natural and affordable beautifying treatment at home. Got the following from

Step 1

Remove the pit from half an avocado and scrape the remaining flesh out of the peel and into a bowl. With a fork, mash the avocado until its consistency becomes creamy and free from lumps.

Step 2

Add 1 tsp. lemon juice to the mashed avocado if you plan to save some or all of the paste for later use. Lemon juice prevents the avocado from oxidizing and turning brown.

Step 3

Mix the avocado paste with any optional ingredients you choose to include in your mask--including 1 tbsp. honey, 1 tbsp. olive oil, the juice of 1/2 an orange or a raw egg white. Although avocado facial masks are effective when made with avocado alone, these ingredients contain additional properties that may promote skin health, especially if your complexion tends to be oily.

Step 4

Wash your face with warm water to remove any dirt, cosmetics or other accumulated debris. Clean skin will absorb the avocado mask's oils more readily than skin coated with other substances.

Step 5

Apply a thin layer of the avocado puree to your face with your fingertips, avoiding contact with your eyes and hair. Continue rubbing the paste onto your skin until your face is fully coated.

Step 6

Leave the avocado mask on your face for at least 15 minutes or until the mixture fully dries. The longer you wear the facial mask, the more chance your skin has to absorb the mixture's nourishing nutrients.

Step 7

Remove the mask by rinsing your face gently with warm water; avoid harshly scrubbing the mixture off of your skin. FatFreeKitchen.com recommends splashing your face with cold water after removing the paste in order to close your skin pores. Dab your face with a towel to dry.

Body Type Categories

More than just a label, a woman’s body type determines which clothing styles are most flattering. There are seven specific body types and knowing them will help you determine your type, as well as what looks best on you. It is important to know that body weight has nothing to do with your body shape. Once you know your body shape, you can dress around the positive attributes of your physical structure to highlight it. And for the flaws, dress so as to hide them by playing with colors, stripes, accessories etc. To appear in proportion you may at times need to add some curves and at other times you may need to create dimensions as well

1. Diamond

Diamonds carry the most weight in the middle, and the waist is not clearly defined.  Hips are wider and thighs fleshy, but the shoulders and bust are smaller.  Shoulder pads and horizontal necklines help widen the shoulders and draw attention away from the waist, creating a more balanced look.

2. Triangle

Triangles have full hips and thighs and a defined waist.  Their shoulders and bust are proportionately smaller.  Shoulder pads, lighter colors and wide necklines broaden the appearance of the upper body. Layering at the top or adding volumes of ruffles, frills etc helps. An interplay of solid dark color at the bottom and light color at the top may help you appear more proportionate

3. Rectangle

The rectangle body type has no clearly defined waist, and the hips and bust are similar in size.  The body, from shoulders to thighs, appears to be straight up and down.  Rectangles should dress to create the illusion of a more defined waistline and curvier silhouette. Wearing shoulder pads can add some dimensions to your upper body frame.

4. Oval

Ovals have no clearly defined waist, but they do have a prominent tummy.  They usually have a fuller bust, with proportionately slender arms and legs.  Ovals look best in clothes that emphasize their thighs, hips and legs while de-emphasizing their waist.

5. Hourglass

An hourglass body type has a defined waist that is smaller than the hips, shoulders and bust, which are similar in size.  An hourglass body shape is considered an ideal body-shape and almost all kind of clothing suits this body shape  Open collars, v-necklines, and clothing that accentuate the curves are the best clothes for an hourglass.

6. Inverted Triangle

An inverted triangle body type is the opposite of the triangle.  The shoulders and bust are larger, with the waist, hips and thighs being proportionately smaller.  Wearing darker colors on the top and lighter colors on the bottom will help balance out the inverted triangle’s silhouette.Wearing clothes with some design features at the bottom like a chain, ruffles, tiers etc, takes away the attention from the heavy bust and shoulder area creating an illusion of wider hips.

7. Figure Eight

The figure eight is a combination of body types.  The overall shape is like the hourglass, but with fuller hips and thighs like the triangle.  The waist is defined, but less so, and the oval’s prominent tummy may be present.  Dress to elongate the torso and de-emphasize the fuller bottom.  Open collars and v-necklines will help draw attention to the face, neck and bust.

How To Find Your Type

Stand in front of a full-length mirror in a swimsuit or fitted clothing.  Are your shoulders narrow, wide or average?  Compare your bust and your waist.  Is one fuller or are they equal?  Make the same comparison between waist and hips, and then between bust and hips.  Is your waist clearly defined?  It may help to measure your bust, waist and hips so you can see the actual numbers.  Now, take your comparison or measurements and look at where they fit in the body types.

There is no right or wrong body type, and no body type is best.  Knowing your body type, however, can help you select clothing that is most flattering to you, helping you to always look your best.

Every woman is special and beautiful in her own way and every body shape has its own significance. Stay stylish.
